I am tired the Dealer telling me this is normal

My Truck SR5 2019 4x2 6400 Miles on the clock. Here is my rant. I have a ruff idle that started about 2 month ago. Rpm holds steady at 600 rpm about 800 with the A/c on and the truck shakes like I got bad motor mounts. Of Course it does not do it all the time I can drive it all week and nothing other days I just run around the corner and bam there it is again. Went to the Dealer 3 times complaint about it and every time they can not find anything and explain Oh this is normal on the Tacoma ( took 3 different Service Gurus out for a drive test drove 2 other Tacoma,s one had it ( not as strong as mine) one did not.

I understand the Tacoma is a truck and things are different but when the G/F Boobs shake at the traffic light and she complains about the idle that can not be normal. Checked into the recall on the fuel pump my truck is not on the list. Thought maybe this could be an issue since the Dealer checked everything out under the hood. I do run a K@ N Filter and I wash it out every other month. Keep in mind my truck maybe runs about 150 Miles a month because of my work. It just sits.

If we would not have a extreme high Fire Season I would drive it into the Desert and shoot it that,s how frustrated I am with the truck. Any thoughts beside finding a younger G/F with smaller Boobs?

That is normal. It’s the Atkinson cycle running. Google search Toyota Atkinson Cycle.
Try using premium gas. It gives this engine a smoother idle.

What size engine? I’m thinking it is normal. When I first got the truck I thought the idle was rough and I thought it had an exhaust leak. All is well though

Wow Toyota really uses old tech stuff.....Atkinson-cycle engines originated in the 1800s and used complex mechanical linkages to adjust the length of the connecting rods.......:D

I agree with TRD ED, without some video proof of your gfs boobs " shaking" there is really no veracity in your original post. I am a scientist, and I need some documented evidence to support the statement.

Do you use fuel stabilizer since it sits so much? Bad fuel could lead to rough idle and dirty injectors.

You're driving using wheel that was invented millions of years before the birth of Christ... what's your point?

NOW, allow me to sympathize with you, as when I roll up to a stop sign with the heater or AC and lights on, and push the clutch, there's a second or two there it sounds like the truck is going to die. In this age of getting more power from smaller motors, I'm afraid this is the new normal. It works as designed, but the design doesn't necessarily work.

To quote Jurassic Park, "God help us, we're in the hands of engineers."

Try shifting your truck into neutral while sitting at idle. That'll keep it from bogging down.

Believe it or not, I think it is normal. Every once in a blue moon even my moobs will shake when the AC compressor kicks on

Won't cure bad gas from what I understand, but prevents it.

I don't use the A/C much but I think you're describing what mine does--somewhat sporadic "roughness" at idle with the compressor on. I figured it was normal?

I mean. I'm not a mechanic. But. Here's the deal. I see a lot of posts about "truck should not do this," but I don't see a lot of posts about "truck should not do this, and now it doesn't work." So, is it just that you have a religious belief that the a vehicle should not behave this way, or does it actually expose a mechanical deficiency?

edit: I'm not challenging the diagnosis, I just see a lot of posts on these boards from guys who know what is supposed to vibrate and what is not, and woah unto us all if we don't agree that this is the way it should be.

Couple of things, Long shots but maybe check just in case. Air filter is in decent shape, Check the Mass Air Flow sensor, make sure its clean, fill it up with the premium for a month.
