You just put on the grille the truck should have came with from the factory.

I asked the same question a few years ago, started a Friday thread on here IIRC, and got a few valid responses that makes sense.
    1. If your employer can directly link your truck to you being on TW at work
    2. Locally if you royally piss someone off on here or the interwebz in general, its easier to locate you
    3. License plates do have some identifiers that could link back to your name and address **if** you attempt to dig hard enough like state, county, etc. Can start to google Mike S in a City and state and you might find info about you or family, you can find similar pics on FB/Insta

You do you, my friend. I have one on my truck. I like how it looks, nevermind the haters. It's your money and your truck.

No TRD bro grille for me but not because I don't like it, it looks great. I just don't think I want to be faking like I have a pro. In the beginning I was tempted to go with one and raptor lights and all. Then I started to see how a lot of guys in my town did that to theirs. So I went with a black out look on my Sr5. It's all in what you like. Good for you for not copying with raptor lights though. I see more trucks of every make with those here especially Ford's that aren't raptors and Toyotas. The grill light things are because the actual Raptor is so wide DOT requires it.

Pretty simple. Dude posts photos of truck with license plate in one thread. Gets into an internet fight in different thread. Pissed off person from other thread finds photo and using license plate, gets dude's name, address, etc and either:

    1. Doxxes him
    2. Makes threats
    3. Other

It's protection against any internet retaliation, as well as license to talk shit in other threads.

Too many mods and I haven't even started yet..
In my opinion: This is not a bad grille either. The whole front end of the truck is big and blocky, so I think the cheese grater grille and the OR grille don't look right. This grille and the Limited grille look great because they are simple and continue the blocky straight-lined look of the rest of the front. The Pro grille does the same, and it avoids the issues that the cheese grater and OR grilles have by making the "mesh" just a series of small rectangles. To me, the Pro gets the top look because it doesn't have the huge oval logo in the center. It'd be great if there was an aftermarket replacement for that logo that just had TOYOTA across the center.

It’s aftermarket from thetacogarage.com. Sensor garnish is also aftermarket (OEM garnishes are $400 now, so I didn’t even consider it).

I am in the camp, the pro grille is the best looking grille out there for the 3rd gen. i have a tacogarage unit on my 19 sport. i know TW says they see too many "Bro grille trucks" out there but, in the last year, i have only saw 2 tacoma's in Michigan that were "Bro grille" like mine... not a pro, with the pro grille. again, they are our trucks, in the end customize it the way you like. if someone says something, tell them buy the grill for me you want, and i will install it... until then, STFU. :D Ski

What is wrong with taking an easy step in protecting your identity? Look at swatting! What happens if some internet bozo has a differing political view and decides to call your local law enforcement agency and make false reports? Highly unlikely but what does it hurt?
