The 1986 xtra cab 4x4 is was swayed me to Toyota fan club. I replaced my Sport grill with the same.

Nothing I guess, I just find it silly. Your license plate isn't covered when you drive around town which is where you are more likely to have someone call the local law enforcement agency to make false reports. If you are afraid of the interwebs, stay off the interwebs :notsure:

Driving around town is different than associating with idiots online who will do who knows what from behind their computer screen. What's wrong with mitigating risk? All or nothing with your type eh?

My factory TRD-OR grill is flaking away which is making me want to bite the bullet and get the pro grill.

As I said before, nothing wrong I guess, I just think it's silly. Go ahead and unruffle your feathers now.

Fair enough. I just look at it as you can't really be too careful these days.

    Cheers!

I have said this in other threads. I don't run a Pro grill because I want to make a wanna be Pro look alike. I use the grill because the 2019 grill is a stupid ugly mistake and it has simply ended up in the landfill where it belongs. That piece of shit grill doesn't belong as a flimsy fence patch in some poor 3rd world country.

Honestly, I think this grill is the bee's knees.

My only beef with putting the Pro grill on a non-pro has nothing to do with the grill itself but with the fact that so many people bash on the pro, but then try to make their truck look like one.

Like, guaranteed, someone will chime in and say how how for the $5,000 they saved they can make their off road 10x the truck.
    Yawn...

Also, Raptor lights on a Tacoma are stupid. They are only on the Raptor to meet an NHTSA safety requirement because the Raptor is so wide.

Ok ok, my thread has become almost more about me covering up my license plate than my pro grill. I don’t care that much about people seeing my plate or not TBH. I just did it because I see a lot of other people on here doing it and I don’t have the time to do things like research why other people do it, or if it’s pointless or not. I just did it because monkey see, monkey do. That’s it. Now get back to work! lol

I like the PRO grill block letters TOYOTA, back to the old days of that 1986, not some funky new style symbol. Side note: none of my local dealers were able to get that grill for me I had to order it online. Dealer told me other areas have different options as to what they can get:crazy:
