So I am involved with a group of people who do living history (where they dress up and live for a week or so out in the woods like the colonial settlers in the frontier of the 1750's). This past weekend my family and my girlfriend went up to Fort Frederick in Big Pool, MD where they hold the 18th century Market Fair every year. This year on Friday. I took my girlfriend up to the Fort wall just around sunset. The half moon was out so bright we had shadows. She was counting the stars. As she was counting the lanterns were being lit across the camp and the camp fires were spewing smoke into the evening air. As she counted 10 stars, I said "Here is a million more." She turned around and gasped as she saw me on my knee holding a ring. I asked "Princess, will you be my queen?" And she almost fell over the fort wall. I had to catch her. As I put it on her finger she finally stopped squealing and crying to get out a yes. So now I am officially engaged.

Thanks guys! I wanted it to be memorable... The thing I will remember the most is the people on the ground next to the barracks that looked at us while she was squealing thinking that I was raping her so something. Hahaha. She said it was perfect for her though.
