OP: Did you open a case with Corporate yet? 1-800-331-4331 Call them and start a case today, explain everything and let them know how disappointed you are in the product and how it has damaged your confidence in the Toyota reputation for reliability and quality. Be polite, professional but firm.

Just read the whole thread, I am shocked at how that dealer is treating you. I work for a dealership, and while we're not the greatest.... I don't think we'd ever send a vehicle out with those kinds of concerns. Definitely call Toyota USA and start a case, give them as much info about that dealer as possible. That wasn't handled properly.

Best of luck to you, OP! If you trade it after this is done, don't give up on Tacoma's just get a 2nd or 1st gen!

Yes, call corporate and report the name of the manager that told you they refuse to work on your truck. Warranty covers the work, they shouldn't be denying you service. Express your concerns calmly and respectfully, but firm, it goes a long way to have corporate on your side. I did, and they were helpful and followed up on my issues, with satisfactory results.

The local news usually likes to cover unscrupulous businesses. Maybe chat with your local journalist and do a bit of dealership name dropping. No dealer would want that kind of local (negative) publicity to be seen.

That's what I thought I typed. Phone rang and had to hit send before proof reading. Thanks for catching that.

Yep. A small minority around here sound like a group of old farts sitting around telling us how much better it was back in the day.

I do, when I slam my left foot on the floor, forgetting I don't have a clutch.
