Without a tape measure, I'd guess the top portion has about 3 ft of vertical height. I can sit up on the mattress, but need to have my neck hunched just a bit to not hit the ceiling.

Total height above the truck is about 12". The top unit is 8" thick, there's 4" of clearance between the cab roof and the bottom of the T-track (and about 2" clearance over the sharkfin).

Kind of… this is a spot that has room for improvement currently.

You can close and lock the side doors before getting in. Then you can close the back door and reach out the sliding glass panel to latch and lock the back door. To exit when locked you have to reach out the glass with keys in hand.

I’ll probably end up rigging up some type of second internal latch for the back door eventually.

Just got back from the big test trip for the new camper, 3 weeks in the Yukon.

I was thoroughly impressed with it by the end of the trip. We had 4 straight days of hard rain and everything stayed nice and dry inside. Having the extra space in the bottom canopy portion to keep our gear and bikes when it was wet and muddy was a game changer.

I was holding onto my old canopy for a while until I felt totally comfortable with the camper, and now I feel content to sell the old canopy.

I installed Icon's leaf springs in the heaviest configuration just prior to the trip and the truck sits and drives much better now.

What is the height from the floor of the truck box to the ceiling when open?
