    Here we go again!
After lurking here and reading all I could, I finally bought a 2007 Tacoma Access cab. TRD off road package. Pretty stoked! What kinds of things should I be weary of?

Congrats. I've seen that a lot of members on here actually prefer the older (pre 08) 2nd gen tacomas because they do not have all the electronic traction control stuff. I got my tacoma because I want a very long term reliable truck. My goal is 300k mi. I say be weary of other idiots in parking lots etc. try to stay away from people.

I got my 2007 last year. I recently did the Transmission fluid, Differential Fluid, Cleaned the Mass Airflow Sensor(MAF) and changed the spark plugs which were kind of annoying...

Maybe check the frame for rust depending where you live. Ummm check the rear leaf springs for cracks. Check out the bushings, brakes, tires, belts, air filter, fluid levels, front suspension components, tie rods and the boots, see if you have a jack and tire iron, A/C, make sure the electronic differential locker works on your TRD off road, ect.
On hot days working on my truck sometimes I go under it to work on something then just lay there and look at everything lol.
The only time I took my truck to any shop/garage was to get my tires mounted and balanced and the other time was to get an oil change at the Toyota dealer. They looked up the service record and did the 5 point safety inspection as part of the oil change and told me I needed to change the diff and trans fluid, but I did those at my grandpas house lol.

I'm probably going to do the water pump on mine soon. I'm a little over 105,xxx miles on my 2007.

    Congrats and welcome to Tacomaworld!

I recently purchased a one owner 07 2wd DCSB w/50k with a very limited service history.
Im interested in replacing plugs, rear differential (synthetic) and Trani fluid (kinda scares me without the dip stick). Did you go to synthetic in the trani? What about power steering?

    Thanks
