Had a check engine light on my 2016 Tacoma that flagged the Mass Air Flow Sensor. I have a K&N cold air intake and realized the air filter connected had disconnected from the tube so it makes sense that the MAF was dirty.

Remove the MAF sensor and cleaned it with MAF sensor spray, let it dry, and reset the ECU by disconnected both the positive and negative battery cables for about 20 mins while I was cleaning the MAF.

Reinstall the MAF, plug it back in, reconnect the battery, and now....

It will start, runs for 1-2 seconds, and dies. Keep getting the same result over, and over. Seems that it's not getting fuel, but the only thing I touched was the MAF and the battery.

    Ideas and suggestions?

Disregard. I’m an idiot. But for anyone else that may have a similar problem, make sure you don’t install the MAF upside down. There is a directional arrow on the MAF that I didn’t pay any attention to. ‍♂️
