Fiberglass resin and two individual layers of the fiberglass cloth is the way to go.

I broke mine last year and it has been pissing me off. I did the same thing, but then the fiberglass peeled away from the plastic, i may have done something wrong. But for the first week it was solid as a rock. im going epoxy now.

Camper top with racks, Custom fogs behind lower bumper. Interior LED lighting, Rock Lights, Hella 500s with upraged bulbs behind black billet grill, AAL, Front 5100s
That would be a step backwards. Did you sand and clean the back before applying the fiberglass?

I have always had a fear of breaking the center console lid from my getting comfortable adjusting. Haven't done it yet, but I am constantly trying to find new adjusting methods.

They should have the armrest covered under the 100,000 mile warranty. I bought my truck with 30,000 on it, it broke at 45,000

I did this a few months ago. Glad I'm not the only one. The crack seems to be 4 inches long maybe from what I can feel.

    Nice welds!

Should probably mention that this would require you to replace the fabric. Also this requires patients practice, similar plastic and some skill to do correctly. I have had to learn plastic welding to fix broken kayaks as well as for an engineering class, and it can be a serious PITA especially without the right tools. If you just go at it with a blowtorch and scrap plastic you are going to mess something up.

Though I just picked up a new 2010 Tacoma, the arm rest in my old (2006) Tacoma, that I just sold to my brother-in-law, had the same problem. It broke about a year ago when I went to straighten up while driving. Though the plastic broke, it hasn't been much of a problem. The only time you notice anything is when you put presssure on it with your arm. Is there a pattern here?

Also, this last winter, both front mud flaps broke. I went ballistic when I checked with the dealer and he wanted $240.00 just for the parts. Hate to ask what a new arm rest would cost. Come to think of it, I have not been impressed with Toyota as a corporation lately but that is a topic for another time.

Yea, i was going to ask but im a little afraid too. I wander if we got a list going of all the broken arm rests if it would change anything? The little triangle pice on the door by the window that you need to take off to get to it, well the clips fell off and they wanted $200 for the 3 clips
