I pulled the black rock/splash guard under the engine. When I was unscrewing one of the front bolts, the welded nut broke loose. Now I can't bolt it back up. Anyone have this happen? Can't figure out a way to get a nut on the back of it with the guard and skid plate in place? Am I just going to have to wait and have it welded?

while you're waiting for answers from some experienced folk.
Put a little penetrating oil on the bolt..wait...then wait...and wait some more...after a a day or two.. try to tighten it first.
    Its a physics thing.
    Then loosen...

You may have to have it welded back.

From the pic shown, why can’t you just hold the nut with a pair of vice grips?

Cut it out and put a rivot nut insert in there and be done with it. Or weld it back in place :sawzall::welder::smack:
