I can't wait to do this! I'm a merchant mariner. When I get off ship I want to do a bit of traveling. I was going to buy brand new but dang! They're expensive! I'm just waiting for the right one to pop up on Craigslist and she's mine all mine! Grand Canyon, here I come!!!

try using searchtempest.com if you haven't already. It's just a 3rd party site that uses craigslist, but expands your search radius to as far as you are willing to travel. I have had much more luck finding reasonably priced specific items on there. It just might take a little more driving. But in this case, i'm ready to hit the road once I find the right one.

But how tall are you ? I'm 5'6" and I don't think even I could find much room in there . However it is a cool idea , it's like a dorm on wheels

Thanks man. I'm 5'10 and I fit pretty comfortably inside. My bed is a little over 6 ft long so laying down on the bed is no problem. I can still sit up on the bed because my cap is a hi-top so it gives another 6" or so of height to the top.

Absolutely! If I could find an A.R.E. TW series (no longer make them for 1st gens) I'd be willing to travel a good ways for the right shell/price!

Excellent build. I am old and smart . but that don't matter, I want to build one like this. The sliding door is a must to comply with the space constraint. Also want to make sure to remind all that window screens are a must. My el cheapo cap does not have them . I will need to break down and buy a descent hight top cap to start with. Thanks for sharing!!!
