I call bull#-*! On this TPM

I know someone who lives on within 4 hours from me and works for a Toyota dealership. He has a 2017 Tacoma with @ 10k miles, lifted it and added some 20 inch wheels and tire (I know). Some how he did something in the programing to to keep from getting a TPM light. He does not have sensors as he still has them on the stock wheels but did sell his tires. I have seen this first hand. He was able to hack something with the help of others. Can this be true?

If he works at a Toyota dealership, he has access to Techstream. There is a possibility in that program, they are able to turn off TPMS.
What does he have to say about it?
Not trying to be jackass, but if I had a question about something and I knew that person, I would ask them instead of strangers on the internet.

 

Besides, he’d get better answers asking this type of question here on a Friday!

 

No pvc trick, he was able to turn if off somehow through the computer. It's against federal law if one turns it off. He said it's done through the computer but some inside accessibility some trained techs are allowed access to.

 

Won't share but did offer to help turn mine off but I have TPM in my wheels. Just asking if anyone has seen this before.
