Not really a kit, they are just ddm 35w HID bulbs (with balasts) from Amazon. Its like $100.

Just search ddm h11 on there and you'll find them.

You will get tons of hate from the headlight purists though for led or hid.

    True.

Maybe you can be a recipient of the "LED bulb in a halogen reflector" award. Drive through central Indiana and you could be a winner! One genuine 3/4" steel ball pitched from the side window just ahead of assholes with illegally bright headlights. Look for the bouncing ball to know you've been selected!

Hurry, available for a limited time.
    One ball per customer.

    Welcome to the internet.

Also, what you are looking for doesn't exist. Crash has already done all your homework and supported his findings with Science. You just don't like his answers..

But keep looking, maybe you will find the elusive $15 Amazon led bulb that is really bright and drops right in..

Had Auxbeam F16s in my SR5. The OEMleds were not out at that point.

if I had to do it again I’d find the whitest halogens I could, or at this point save for OEM led conversion

For an LED bulb, these Hikari's and the Morimoto's were recommended by Crash, if the goal was to only stick with LED bulb. Sure there are better option but everyone has different goals for their truck, performance and aesthetics wise.
The LED bulbs give the same color as the DRL's to give a more unison look instead of orange halogen with white LED DRL's.
I personally have Hikari Ultra's and they perform good for me while achieving the aesthetics I am going for.
Fog lights and light bar I went with the godly Diode Dynamics though. Worth every penny imo.

in this thread, 3rd genners use ad hominen (damn "snobs") and unsubstantiated claims (halogen is a modern lighting twist that represents todays easily offended culture) to argue they are right to run dirt cheap crappy LEDs in their halogen housings so they can have cool white headlights.

You don't have to defend what you do, it's your truck to do what you wish, but just understand you can't exactly argue for it either with "you guys are snobs and I know what I see". Run your own tests and come back with data, not feelings.

xD I think I am the only person who said snob and I wasn't directly referring to anyone in this thread. Ntm, HIDs work fine in projectors, which is what me and another fella were discussing.

    I am just clarifying that.

But wheels snobs, color snobs, build snobs, light snobs, lift snobs, tire snobs, mod snobs, wrench-turning snobs. This forum is a bunch of monkeys spewing the same shit over and over. Just gotta sift through it to find reasoning, can't always settle for "That's how we always have done it".

Yes, I read the ledvshalovshid thread start to finish, fantastic write up. Yes, I comprehended it fine. Still curious about more or different high beam options. IMO, OEM high beams on Taco are turrble.

Y'all don't take my "snobs" comment any further HAHA. I think you are taking it out of context. I am not brewing an LED vs Halo debate, I don't care.

LED's looked like crap in my OE projector so I switched to HID which are great.
