Hey fellas, I can't pass smog. 90lbs dry comp. test, 120 lbs wet. Not a pro mechanic, but I believe this means bad rings in that cylinder. Choices are a used engine or rebuild mine.
I was looking for a DIY for my 2.4 2vZFE but I can't find anything online. I have never rebuilt an engine and am interested in trying. I've done some work on my Audi and know a wrench, but have never tackled a rebuild.....I'd like to try. If I blow it, well, if that happens we will go from there.
Question is , is there a good online step by step tutorial or failing that.....which is the best manual(s) that can guide me step by step with torque values and measurements?
    I appreciate your responses.......thanks.
