Your idea of constructive? Or even accurate re. the original statement you were replying to? It appears as if you just want to fight. Mind you, I'm coming at you from an unbiased, female perspective, no pride issues or desire to be mean~ you really are being a negative Ned & that's pretty much rubbing noses with complainers and whiners ...

I have both and they're both great and trouble free vehicles.
But If I had paid attention to all the drama and B/S here, I would have missed out on the best truck I've owned so far. The 4R is more plush though, even if we compare ltd to ltd and SR5 to SR5. I have no complaints other than the 4R is better appointed with amenities, but you do pay a little more for it.

    Cheers!

I can't speak for everybody on this forum but let me break down my personal take one time...

When it comes to the GEN3, I was excited by the prospect of Toyota releasing a Tacoma that brings the truck into modern times. My intent was to swap out my 2014 for one but that plan changes once the GEN3 was released...a step backwards, or treading water at best, in my opinion.

On to discussions within this forum...if a vehicle has problems I'd say a forum dedicated to that vehicle would be the place to discuss them. If discussing issues or shortcomings, hopefully addressing those in the process, gets fan-boy panties in a bunch, oh-well.

If those who bought 2016 are happy with their purchase that is great. If they're not concerned with the many issues, or they prefer to defend Toyota and/or their purchase, that is grewat too. But it if they try to attack those who take an honest/objective look at the GEN3 that is pretty lame.

Bottom line...I'm disappointed with Toyota's approach with the GEN3, both in their half-asses approach and their poor execution. Unless they adress those two things the reputation they build with previous generations will be long gone before we know it.

Just my two cents. Have a great weekend!

I gotta text you this week man. Got something kinda cool you may or may not like coming down the pipeline.

P.s. I think he needs a little more seasoning before MVP status is achieved. But post like that are what the recruiters are looking for....

    None...yet!
Hey, I have had my 2016 for a week now and I have scoured this forum looking for potential problems. I must have bought a different model than some around here, because my truck aint doing anything I would call even mildly irritating and I consider myself kinda super picky. It's 100% so far, even the tranny and no TSB service yet either. For reference I have also had 1989, 1993, and 2003 Toyota pickups all 100,000+ miles, so I know the breed. This is the best one yet! 20 MPG's and 6 cylinders, gotta love that.
