I'm with you on this. The front end of the 2016's, it's so ugly.

If I spent the money they want for the new Taco's and had all the issues Smitty has had, I'd be pissed too. It's a great looking truck, but I feel that Toyota's quality control is slipping. If your spending around 40K, you wouldn't expect so many problems. Now some of them are leaking battery acid. I'm sure there are folks that have had few problems, but others have had more than their share. To me, it's quality control issues, be it faulty parts or cranking the trucks out too fast, or weak final inspections, or a combo. Just my humble opinion. If It was me, I'd be looking to lemon the thing out by now.

Little tree air fresheners. Clazzio black leather seat covers.
I like to go back to the 2nd gen mod fourms. Seems as though they have better mods. 3rd gens are way to repetitive one what people do to them. You see one or twp Barcelona reds it's pretty much the same as the rest.

I totally agree. The days of old Toyota reliability have ended. We are now in the era of several small nagging problems that eventually turn into something more serious. Or worse yet something horrible from the get go. I feel as if Toyota is skating by on their old reputation and putting out vehicles that have not been thought all of the way through. Not to mention just ignoring certain issues and common problems the owners are having. I think this started in 05 when the company switched over to the lean program. They brought in "consultants" like in office space to revamp the efficiency of the company. Good job guys!

It's a diverse bunch on Taco World for sure. That's what makes it interesting. All other truck blogs pale in comparison.
