Have been toying with the idea of selling my 2018 to Shift for almost $38k!!! but have cancelled on the last two appointments. They are supposed to come this Saturday but after watching the lot boy at the local dealer jumpstart my truck because he didn't realize/couldn't drive a stick - I'm thinking I need to keep her.

Anybody else in my shoes? I commute on a motorcycle and have a pretty sweet Audi for most around town driving which leaves my truck for dump runs and picking up gravel/landscaping runs.

Lol, not in your shoes but that’s funny. Keep the truck if you can

I’d sell it and buy a new one for 35k next year unless it is your sole source of transport

You have a bike and another car, if you want the $ over the truck, sell it. If you need something for dump runs and not worry about beating it up, buy an older truck.
If you don't want the money more than the truck, keep it.

If you don’t need a truck, then now is the time to sell.
I don’t see these prices stay like this for more than a year.
I could be wrong, but I’d sell mine if I didn’t need it and I had something else to drive.

Yeah these prices are ludicrous and I’m not in the sell and buy a newer model camp either.

I need to stop doom scrolling every night on reddit/collapse because I can’t control what may or may not happen tomorrow or ten years from now.

This may be the last gas powered manual truck I own so I should either suck it up and enjoy it or sell and buy more ammo for a buck a round

Yeah, sell it. Get a hitch for the Audi and rent a trailer the half dozen times a year that you need some wood or gravel.

So what are you going to spend you $38k on when they pick up the truck?

    I don’t worry about things I don’t have.
I say blow it all on Whisky, Weed and Women.
Then when you run out of money, you won’t have to worry about what to with it.
If you do it right, you’ll remember just enough to think it was worth it.

Sold my 2020 Subaru WRX STI to Carvana for $40,020. Bought it new for 37,180$ with tax and all. Drove it 4500 miles and did 4 track days.... They actually have it listed for less than I traded it to them for at this point.... if it drops lower than I paid new, I absolutely will buy it back just for the story.... These are CRAZY times. If you have an extra vehicle, toy, house, etc... SELL IT!! My 2015Tacoma though... that's the one thing I own that's not for sale .... but if it looks at me the wrong way it could be
