I ceramic coated my TRD Pro rims and the results are fantastic.

I strip washed the rim four times and scrubbed every corner in these horrible wheels leaving them with the faded grey-ish appearance these matte wheels are known for. I applied a single coat of the cheap Foretoo 10H Graphene coating from Amazon and I had an instant satin finish. A week later they still look great but they havent seen rain yet. If this finish can last 3-6 months I'll be happy. I've been using Dr. Beasleys Matte Wheel Seal and it only lasts a week or two which doesn't help me since I barely wash my truck once a month.

If I knew the results were going to be this good I would have cleaned/coated the barrel too. Oh well, next time.

They actually make a ceramic coating specifically for matte finishes.

I'm aware of ceramic coatings designed specifically for the higher surface temperature of wheels but I know allot of people just throw on a coat of Avalon King or regular ceramic coatings on their wheels all the time without a problem.

I'm just using a very inexpensive ($25 as of this writing) "Graphene" cermamic coating.

I just realized you may have been making a statement rather than asking a question. LOL

I've got a '20 4Runner with these wheels and I hate them. Impossible to clean. I can't wait to order new wheels.

That turned out nice! They also make a ceramic coating in a spray bottle which is very convenient to use right after washing the truck just wipe it on and your good to go!

Those cheap chinese ceramic coatings are pretty decent (mostly)

I paid a detail guy to ceramic coat my car a year or so ago and was impressed for about 6 months, then I noticed that I could get a ceramic coating on Amazon that had 1,700 reviews and 4.5 stars. Did some digging and they are made in the same factory as Avalon King and some of the other big expensive brands. I was going to ceramic coat my old 02 gmc2500 since if I F'd it up I would not care.

I have stuck to the Mothers CMX spray because its easy. My wheels clean with a hose and look like i just scrubbed them.

Yes and I follow ScottHD tests as well. The Foretoo 10H product has been featured in several of his tests and held up well. 5 months in on the wheels and it still looks great.

    sure

If you’ve posted an update I apologize, if not how has the ceramic coating held up longevity wise, have you reapplied, if so, how often? Thanks!

I have not posted an update. I ended up touching up the wheels 6 months ago when I got new rubber installed and coated the barrels at the same time. Despite being a little dirty in this picture and the "now pink" TRD logos, I'm still very happy with this. The wheels is still beading water off and doesn't look chalky. One day I'll clean the tires properly..
