I cut my bushing and added washers to my left side rear end.

So I cut my top bushing and added it to to the under part of the top shock with some extra washers and the other half of the cut bushing on top of the washers to raise it a 1\4 inch to compensate for the lean. Has anyone done this before and will it hurt my truck. The first pic is the normal shock on passenger side. The other 2 are the drivers side. You can't see the added bushing on top of the washers in the 3rd pic.

Shocks have nothing to do with ride height. Shim them up, Cut them down, or Take them off completely. Your ride height or any lean isn’t going to change.

Springs are what you’re looking for.

Yeah can't afford the springs right now. I would think it would still raise the truck since shocks are not gonna compress anymore unless it has added weight or is hitting a bump. If you add washers to it it's not gonna keep compressing that would make no sense to me. I have now added space between the shock and the frame of the truck. Does that make sense or am I just a dumb dumb???

You’re not dumb. You just don’t understand the purpose of shocks vs springs.

Springs hold up your vehicle. For your truck...coil springs hold up the front and leaf springs hold up the rear. The reason you have a lean is you have more weight on one side of the truck (battery and gas tank). This causes the springs on that side to compress a little more.

Shocks control the movement of the springs. They use internal shims to control how easily or not so easily the spring compresses and rebounds after a compression.

Be sure to be careful, the ICON shock are designed to get every bit of up travel available on this platform. By introducing washers to the equation makes the compressed length longer. It may not be enough to cause an issue but bottoming out on the shock is unforgiving on Toyota's.

Good call on getting new bushings.
