$5k isn't too much... but you can find gems... I got my 2015 Rockwood A194HW for $8k last November, and it's in really good shape. I like popups since it's lower than the truck (though the HW is the "high wall" which is a bit taller than other A-frames) and doesn't butcher fuel economy as much as a full height travel trailer.

I've towed it 2300+ miles mostly interstate highway and got about 15MPG average. At slower speeds (one tank I took a route that was slower due to construction - slow, but not stop and go), it can improve. I got 17.5MPG over one tank.

A frames will usually have a bed, dinette, fridge, sink and LP stove. Some have toilets, fewer have showers and even fewer (I think) have ovens. Mine has all of those things. The only thing, I think, it doesn't really have is a grey water tank.... so I had to get an external rolling tank to empty into.

How is refilling from those Eagle cans? I've seen them with these yellow funnels but I'm not sure how easy they pour.

Been wanting to get a can, just don't want leaks.

What do you store them in the bed in? Custom or you have a link?

I use the cans with the hose filler, yeah, it doesnt spill but it’s a pain lifting them. I have a diamond plated truck box to hold them, a bit heavy though. One of my buddies uses a light weight rubbermaid chest that is fuel resistant too. Wont help as much in a crash, but it will contain seepage or other leaks.

Brought out home today. Taco pulled it like a champ, just will eat gas. I'm okay with that. The service department screwed things up so much. I ended up with an Equalize E4 4-point sway control weight distribution hitch after like 3 or 4 hours of screw ups and I don't have to pay for it now.
