I did'nt even get 2" out of my OME 885 and 5100's in the front???

    Just had the 5100's (lowest setting), OME 885, driver side 1/4" top plate spacer installed on my 2015 Tacoma 4x4 Double cab. The rear got 5100's and a 1" block. Also went from factory 265/70/16 BFG rugged trails to 265/75/16 BFG KO2's (not sure if that matters height wise) Both measurements taken on the exact same spot also. Dont remember when I measured stock if I had a full tank of gas but the after measuremeants just now has a full tank (dont know if that matters either) I mean I was hoping to 2.5" not that I would even notice it but oh well. I am happy with it and I think it looks pretty good. Rides well and love the tires.


    BEFORE measurements with OEM tires
    Driver front 20 15/16
    Driver rear 21 3/8
    Pass front 20 15/16
    Pass rear 22


    After measurements with KO's
    Driver front 22 3/4
    Driver rear 22 3/8
    Pass front 22 5/8
    Pass rear 22 5/8

    you dont want more than a 2 inch lift up front anyways.

    You want to keep the CV angles and ball joints happy.

    OME 3" lift, 265/75/16 KO2s, 35% tint
    I have the same set-up but 1.5" lift in the back but mine came out to be 2.5" in the front, tire only matter if measured from the ground (you should gain .5 from the tires if I'm correct)

    I don't think the problem is how much lift OP needs, it's that 885s plus 1/4 spacers should provide more than under 2" of lift

    This comment is the truth... but yeah, the springs themselves only provide about an inch and a half for front lift, very similar to the toytec eibach springs that provide about 1.6 inches of lift with just the spring

    Just curious why you used the 1/4" spacer on the driver's side if the before measurements were equal on the front.

    There was some discussion in another thread about the driver's side lean, and whether the newer ones have it or not. Based on your before measurements it was dead even.

    I have an '05 with the same spacer on the driver's side, and it's still a hair lower than the passenger's side. Not visually noticeable though (definitely better than it was without it).

    Its just the sheer amount of extra weight on the drivers side, plus the spring fatigues at a faster rate as well. The 1/4 spacer will correct it but sadly itll never be 100% perfect. To add, the rear axle and springs doesn't have a lean correction spacer either, so if the rear is sagging to the drivers side, the front will too even if the front has the spacer

    I just remembered that the OME springs are not side specific, where as the stock springs are. That's why the before measurements were dead on, and the spacer was needed with the OME's.

    Every now, and then I like to answer my own questions.

    Is it the different shocks that affected this?? The spring perch might be in a different spot on the nitrochargers rather thar the 5100's on the base setting? Im not sure just speculating lol

    DCLB 2013 SPORT V6 4x4 - OME 885 and 5100s set at "0" got me @2.75 inches. No heavy bumper up front and stock sport rims and rubber.

    Oh wow, I thought the different branded springs offered the relatively same amount of lift as eachother, just ride quality differed between the brands and the different numbered OME springs. Good to know , learn something new every day right?
