I'd been shopping for used second gen Tacoma's so I could put my t100 out to pasture. I kept telling myself I shouldn't buy a 2016. First year model, don't want to scratch a brand new truck, might not want to jump it at the dunes, etc.

But then I swing by my local dealer to check out and compare the double cab vs the access cab. And there she is. Everything I wanted. 2016 double cab, trd Off-road, manual, black. Everything I told myself I shouldn't have because.. Reason.

    IMG_20151001_084158967.jpg

It had arrived on the lot only a few hours before. They hadn't even washed it yet. And now it's mine.

My only regret is that they don't have the crawl/multi-terrain stuff on the manual. Such is life.

My to do list is: either find or weld up a bumper before I ruin the pretty stocker. Rig up the 12v sockets to stay on. Tires. Lift. Light bars. Gas carrier. Etc.

I saw two in the past couple days and they are nice looking! I used to hate the, but the grille looks so much better in person.

Nice! Sometimes wants outweigh reason, cant be practical 100% of the time or it would be a boring life! ;)

Nice looking truck. I have not had a chance to take a look at the double cab in person yet. Dealer in my area had a double cab and access cab a week ago and by the time I went to look the access cab was the only one left.

Nice looking truck. I live in Pa and have not seen any at the dealer ships yet. I bought my TRD sport back in July and I was back and fourth trying to decide 15 or 16. I chose to wait till the truck is about 3 or 4 years old then maybe move up to a 16.

Nice rig. Enjoy the new ride. These things hold their value so well that often it makes sense to just buy new one than finding a deal on a late model used one. I didn't pay much more for my new 2013 than I could find for a used 2011-2012.

Forget crawl control... you've got a manual (way more fun) :p

What he said. No need for Crawl if you got a manual. Have fun. Does yours have a tech package? Cant tell from the photo if it has a moonroof.
