Thanks guys. Maybe I am just having new vehicle paranoia syndrome. I've been doing a lot of: What's that noise? What's that smell? Is that normal?

First time brand new purchase, first Pick up truck, first toyota, first time time having a lot of these tech features

Relax and enjoy your puchase. It is smart wanting to be aware, but not to the point of paranoia. It's great to get to know your truck.

Ding ding ding. We have a winner. This is the answer.

While this answer is technically true, it does not account for 50% difference in miles, just like the tire size answer.

OP, this may be a silly question , but could it be that the "units" in the settings are set to kph?

Wouldn't that have to be smaller than stock? more revolutions so the truck thinks it traveled further?

I'm about to hit 13k on my truck and I have had the truck for 8 months. I do have a sneaking suspicion that my odometer is not accurate.

I mean is it even possible?

I've driven a lot sure, but it just seems off to me.

Stop dropping by your girlfriend's before you go home and your odometer will read right.

    Dont need any of that.
Step 1. Find a measured mile near you. Sometimes they are on highways, the closest one to me I know of is a road by the airport.

Step 2. Stop at the start of said mile, and reset your trip odometer.

Step 3. Drive to the end of measured mile and pull over. Note what your trip odo reads. If it says anything other than 1.0 you have an issue with your odometer.

That's literally the 3rd option I gave him.
