I owned a couple 2 wheel drive trucks. They still went there, and did that.

Transfer case envy... It's okay, you can still come over and hang with the cool kids. Hell, one of us might even give you ride down the trail. :anonymous:

I don’t need an airbag either!
I have never used one in my 27 years of driving.

My wife sees it as access to places we could not go in another vehicle. She hits me up with trail ideas all the time. I think she likes to flex trail pictures for her colleagues.
I think you need to get her to a place where she agrees it's necessary. Once she's in, you're good to go. My wife's has a JK, has had a Durango and a couple of 4Runners.

Yup. I wish I knew where it is, but I have a tape... yes, a VHS camcorder tape, I took while doing 4WD snow donuts in the parking lot of the Vons in Mammoth. No one was there as it was 1:00 AM and I stopped to use a payphone to call my sister so she could unlock the front door to the condo. No cell phones or GoPros then. Just an idiot with a 4WD Toyota Truck, a JVC camcorder, an utter lack of self-control, and a big, stupid grin. Good times.

I've never owned a 2wd anything. I never will. AWD or 4WD. Nothing wrong with 2WD if you don't ever use or need 4WD though. Location, location, location.

You know what, I am comfortable enough with myself as a person to loudly and proudly say:

    There.

Meh, I rocked a 2006 Prerunner for eight years. Someone stole my chains from the back end so I went out and bought a 2014 that winter...I showed them.

Hi I'm Rock Lobster and I have a drivetrain problem. It started when the fiancee bought a Mazda 3 AWD, and now I have to come to terms with an itsy bitsy hatch that has better traction than my truck.

My 4x2.....stock suspension, stock tire size, and staying that way. I did go for the wheels though, and yea that was for looks :)

    IMG_0698.jpg

When I lived in northern Vermont all my vehicles were 4x4s. Between the snow and mud season there was no other way to go. Now I live in south Florida and the most "off road" my truck sees is grass and gravel. Didn't see the need to pay the extra money for 4 wheel drive I'd only use once a month to keep it from breaking. It's all about location and how you use the truck.

Tell her that 4x4 has better resale value.

Not that you will ever trade it in once you get it.
