I don't need or use 4x4 either, but I have it and made a point to buy it. :)

Absolutely unnecessary for most work trucks and fleet vehicles.

A friend bought a 4x2 Tundra in Texas, moved to Colorado, and could not sell it, at least enough to pay off the loan. He had to drive it back to Texas to sell.

Never once was worried about rwd being insufficient before. Up until now I've only ever owned rwd vehicles. Hell, I drove my 86 mustang GT rain, snow or shine for 6 years of dd duty and survived just fine. Even made it up a hill that was a 100 yd 40 degree incline in the snow in that thing.

In most on-road situations 4wd/AWD is a crutch for shit drivers with shit tires. That's what happens when ppl learn to drive with nanny systems on wrong-wheel drive cars. You get drivers with no feel for or the road or proper throttle control in less than ideal situations.

Where I live would never buy a truck without 4x4 or a car without AWD. Having good tires and driving skills help but nothing replaces 4x4 when you really need it.

Ah, don’t worry, you never really needed it anyways. More people shouldn’t go where they need 4wd…. They should leave it for the rest of us! :p

Yeah, any time I see a 2wd truck here I know it either came from Cali, Texas or Florida. Here a 4x4 is almost a necessity. No one wants 2wd.

RWD can get me anywhere I want to go. If it cant, I will stay home or turn around.
