Everybody hold on here. Just stop. We seem to be missing the important bit here....

What kind of bike is it and did it sustain any damage?

Get an estimate from a body shop before claiming. At least with my insurance, starting a claim and not following through was just as bad a having a claim. And it showed up on my carfax.

About a year ago I was loading the sailboat on the trailer and forgot to bungee the mast to the support in the trailer. We made it a couple miles before I hit a speed bump and heard it bounce off the lift gate on my jeep. My deductible was $500 and the body shop charged $950 to pop the dent and paint it. IMO it would have made more sense to keep it off the carfax and let them do it for cash.

Have a dent guy look at it first. Pull as much of the dent out as you can, touch up paint and cover with a custom tailgate protector.

Whatever you do I'd get that dealer sticker off asap!
Anyways I'm sorry about your leg and tailgate. That's what insurance is for!

Thats the plan, I don't care much about the dent I'm just worried about the exposed metal and it rusting or the paint getting peeled off. Do you think the toyota dealer could just paint it. Would they have the color in stock and do they ever do that sort of thing?

Normally they contract that out to local paint and body.. Honesty a good body shop could probably fix or lessen the dent and paint it..

    Head unit. That's it.
Call the guy who "bumped" a semi and totaled his. It was silver. Buy the tailgate, take it to a paint shop, have it painted. Replace.

Or, just derp it after pulling as much as you can?
