I am very new to Toyota World but it looks like it could be a dangerous site. Real easy to spend money!! Anyway, the point of my first dissertation is to have a little cry. I bought my first Toyota pickup in 1987 and my second one in 1991. I have had this truck for almost 19 years now and it has given me absolutely no problems, until now. Keep in mind it has 358,000 miles on it. Anyway, after consulting two different "experts" the conclusion is that my overheating and coolant lose is probably due to a leaking head gasket. The consensus opinion is "get rid of the truck as it's too old with too many miles to even think about fixing it". So there we are looking to buy a vehicle. God, I hate the rat race of looking for and buying any sort of motor car. At my age I don't want to buy a new truck but I want one that will last me out, as they say. I am leaning toward an 05 or later access cab, 2wd, 4 cyl, automatic, with the usual power options. Kind of a wimpy specification but I must be realistic, my flying through the air days are numbered.

I feel better having unloaded my problem on you guys. Thanks and this really is a brilliant site.

The 4cyl in these trucks is definitely not wimpy.
