    what is a 1st gen and a 2ed gen i dont understand . I got a 2010 what is it:confused::confused:

    1st gen - until 2004
    2nd gen - 2005 - present

    The first gen's are the older design. The 2nd gens are the new design which you just purchased. Congrats on your purchase btw!!

    Its a 2nd gen, the first gen had a 2.4L 2x4 2.7L 4x4 and 3.4L V6. The 2nd gens have a whole new body style 2005-2011 with a bigger V6 4.0L(dont know the size of the 4banger).

    The 4banger is 2.7L I believe. But its output numbers are pretty sad. The 2.5L in the new Camrys have higher output numbers 169 hp i believe, then the 2.7L in the Tacoma has 159 hp.
