    The 2016 Tacoma has
    More power
    Tows more
    Better milage
    Stronger frame
    Better interior
    More technology
    More capability
    Stops shorter
    Quieter
and is just as fast as the outgoing model

Can y'all be any more fickle? Can't we just agree that it's a better truck than the 2nd gen?

I dont think anyone is saying the 2016 is not an improvement.

I can only speak for myself, but I think that after ten years it's not enough of an improvement.

I had cash in hand to buy a 2016. I really wanted to buy one. After seeing and test driving one, it's not enough for me to put down my money and get rid of my 2010.

Hopefully Toyota makes more significant changes in a few years.

    Oh Jeeeze!!
Like flies on shit this thread will soon be a shit fest filled with People who don't have or want one and especially won't like it or agree it's better. Predictable as the sun rise.

Most of us who bought them are very happy by a long margin with them despite the growing pains and would not sell our trucks back to Toyota if offered.

That is what the ignore button is for. Those who don't have them and consistantly berate the 3rd Gen. They have little to offer outside the first and second Gens except uninformed opinion and hatred for the friggin grill.....Helpful? I think not..

I sold my 15 to get one and never looked back. The 3RD Gen is better in every way. Case closed here.

I bought the 2015 because I got an awesome price on the last model year 2nd Gen which has been around long enough that most if not all of the worst bugs have been upgraded and corrected and frankly, like many others, I like the looks of the front end better than the 3rd Gen. The biggest deciding factor for me however, is the 2nd Gen 4.0 motor still uses 5W-30 oil. I have witnessed time and again manufacturer after manufacturer and vehicle after vehicle that change internal motor tolerances so that the engines can use the new 0W-20 energy conserving oil to meet better EPA standards, and get a slight increase in gas mileage. But then they use more petroleum in the way of burning oil than they save in gas mileage. Many manufactures even state right in their literature that using a quart of oil every 1000 miles is acceptable. They will not warranty a motor using this much. Ask me how I know? Want an example take a look at the new Subarus and do some googling. The 3rd Gens are nice enough and have plenty of improvements but will also have their share of new model hiccups. Im not willing to spend 40k on a new truck to be the guinea pig for the new round of Generational issues. But that's just me. Both Generations are nice dependable trucks so each person needs to decide whats right for them and enjoy whatever truck they decide they like.

Not worth more money for the minor improvements. Also, its just ugly. Would rather just get a tundra. Will say it's still the best midsize tho
