I drove through Kingman Yesterday afternoon (7/14). It was about 112 or something like that. Maybe 118. I dont remember.

I grabbed my pack of winterfresh gum. Still had another 4 hour drive ahead of me. The gum was melted to the wrapper. Not just one.....all of them.

Oh well. I got to eat at Inn in Out off Stockton. So it's all good!

On a side note. I have a quick question. On Sunday morning I was heading East on the 10 fwy through Phoenix. I merged onto the 60 East. I believe I was at the part that says superstition hwy. Anyway the lights hanging over the fwy flashed me. Anyone familiar with those or ever get a ticket from that. The sun was barely coming up. I have no front license plate. My rear plate is angled. And my sister following behind me was riding my tail. Think I got a chance the camera didnt get me? How much is a speding ticket?

Besides all that Arizona is beautiful. I enjoyed Salt River Canyon! Beautiful!

hahaha you got nailed by the big government cameras. Not sure if the mounted cameras on the interstates here are going down. Gov Brewer decided they weren't constitutional or something and is getting rid of the DPS ones. Just not sure of the mounted ones on the Interstates...

You may get a ticket for it. Probably just pay a fine. Not sure how it works with out of state drivers.

I got a speeding ticket in Parker last year. Cop wrote it for Wasted Finite or something like that. I just mailed the payment in. It wasnt too expensive.

You got flashed. Its not illegal in AZ to have no front plates, in fact.. its not required. Speeding ticket depends on how many mph over the limit you might have been going. Word has always been that they wont flash until someone surpasses 11mph over the limit.

People are going to tell you not to pay the ticket. Do whatever floats your boat.

Chances are, you and your sister might have been flashed... or it could have been someone next to you.

If it is indeed you, they will mail you your speeding ticket and information on how to handle it. If you dont get one, then good news! :)

All DPS (Highway and Freeway) cameras will be turned off at midnight tonight, and will eventually be removed within the next 3 months. Cameras in cities and towns will still be operational (ie, city streets)

I got one of those before you were born! ;) $5 for waste of a natural resource. I was going 90+ in a 55 when they were required to have 55 max to get any fed funds. I had two euro blondies in the car with a magnum bottle of champagne that we couldn't hide under the seat! I yacked it up with 5-0 and he was very cool with me.

That was AZ's way of fighting the Fed. Sound vaguely familiar with anything today?

    yes, the heat sucks ballz

and yes, you have to be going 11mph over to get flashed. and no you don't have to pay it. if they mail you a ticket it's not properly "served", so they can't say you actually got it. it doesn't even go on your record either.

when you get the ticket it might have a little thing included that tells you to get on the DMV website and watch the video of you getting flashed. and they give you a little code that you enter and it pulls up the video of you speeding.....i think if you watch that video then you admit fault and have to pay it

not sure tho, that might just be another myth?

I'm not big on guns. I know it's a 30-30 though. As far as Marlin idk. My dad has had that since like 1985.

What we pay for in the summer, we reap the rest of the year. It is a worthwhile trade. I am in Ohio right now and it is hot as balls with tons of humidity...it is MISERABLE!!

As for the ticket, if you get it, ignore it. The state of Arizona (by its own admission) is trying to circumvent the legal process of proper service of a violation. I know cops that have gotten them while off duty and they ignore them. I am not saying I ever got one because that would be admission on a public forum, but IF I did...I would ignore it.

They can however choose to personally serve you, if they want to come to California. If the knock on your door and you answer, they hand it to you and tell you that you have been served.

    Keep your money....

Yeah it get's a bit hot here.
When the humidity goes over 10% we die.
I could not handle the 90% 90 degree stuff you south coast folks deal with!!!!!.
Went to Houston once and it was the most miserable humidity I have ever been in.

I worked outside here for a long time and 110 and above will tear you up as well.

Even if you pay it, it doesn't go on your record. If you don't pay it valuntarily, they have I think 120 days to serve you in person. If they serve you, you will just have to pay for the process server fee and the fine. Still not on your record.

Save your money, and buy something you want for your truck.
