Born and raised in Oxnard, lived in Ventura for a number of years now in Idaho. I see a minimum of 5-6 every time I'm out and about.

The FJ craze lately is pretty interesting, they are EVERYWHERE here in California now. Since Toyota stopped production on them they've become stupid popular, and have something crazy like a 95% resale value.

I'm in South Texas and although there is a lot of the big 3, there's also a ton of lifted Tundras with the "Built here, Bought here" obligatory sticker or whatever it says. But I have been through West Texas, and what you're saying is true to what I remember. As far as the Taco goes, I feel like I'm seeing more 3rd gens every day.

I took the FJ for warranty work last month and had 4 salesmen try to buy it from me. Last offer was 33k.
They didn't bite when I countered with an even swap for a 4runner,lol.
    Mine's a '14 with only 12k on the clock.

Got 9 months on the 17s. But this was the same point I made. Plus Tacoma is a nitche vehicle. Many older Tacoma owners will buy another Tacoma. A lot of them are still driving their current Tacoma (second gen) more and more will appear every day. Although with the midsize market expanding they might not sell as many tacomas as they have in years past. Plus the Forcast for sales shows a decline over the next decade

I'm seeing an increase of them in Oregon. What I don't see are Chevy Colorado's.

1st and 2nd gen are paid for. 3rd gen owners don't have the gas money to go anywhere.

I see them everywhere in Oregon. I went to the store this morning and saw 3 over 4 miles round trip.

I saw quite a few Tacomas, all generations, in New Mexico. Saw more 3rd gens out there than where I live in DC area.

There's millions of 2nd gens on the road and only a few hundred thousand 3rd gens, no shit you see less of them...of all tacoma the 3rd gen is maybe 10% of the market at the moment. They are only a year old...

Around the north ga/ corner of Tennessee, you see a ton early Toyota trucks and every gen of tacomas. I'm pretty sure this area is the Toyota capital of the country lmao plus nearly every gen of 4Runner :transformer:

I see more second gens here in Northern Virginia than I do 3rds, but that number has increased as well. I did get to see a cement TRD Pro the other day and it was sweet.

I have a 3rd gen with Oregon plates here in my building, heh.

Here in TN there are a metric fuck ton of them. I also come from a Toyota family... Mom has a 4Runner (which she previously owned a Venza, Solara Conv., and '99 4Runner), sis has an FJ, and I've owned a '91 Supra Turbo, '07 Corolla, '09 xB, '11 Tundra, '07 FJ, and now '17 Taco. Toyota's are pretty popular where I'm at, lol.

To me the seating position in every Toyota Tacoma/Pickup I have owned before this one was garbage. It was the least favorite part of owning these trucks to me.

In the 3rd gen I at least dont think about how the seat feels bolted to the floor every time I get in it lol When we bought the new truck wife even commented on how much better seating position was and I agree lol

Was in Bakersfield over the weekend last weekend and I swear 1 out of every 5 autos on the road were 3rd gens.

Did drive by the Toyota dealership and saw about 20 3rd gens on the lot
