i loled the op is a d bag. first off why? second of it is a toyota forum so why? third i have owned both ford nissan chevy and now this is my first tacoma shit my first toyota ever and i have to say even though i have the regular cab 4x4 4cyl this little truck would walk away from any of those other makes or models of truck off road i'm sorry the raptor is nice i like it and i would buy one but my toyota will probably run for ever and get better gas mileage since i run the 4 cyl. the dealerships i worked at both chevy and ford service departments where almost all was full while the toyota and nissan side where more or less looking for work lol and when they had it the frequency of serious jobs engine trans and stupid shit was minimum, mostly it was routine maintence kinda stuff.

 

but, just to clarify the domestics have gotten much better than they used to be in the 80's and 90's. shit i like power wagons they are burly as shit. look up some reliability records toyota has among if not they best ratings selling way less trucks than the big three. and i don't even remember anybody flaming the fords or chevy's the raptor was just recomended to a member who was selling his tacoma and the same was done in a recent thread for a guy who needed a larger truck to tow a large boat. if memory serves right, almost everybodys vote went to the chevy duramax and alison trand combo. people here are just glad that they bought the best mid size truck that is sold in our country. mid size key word. nothing that is sold by another major auto manufacture in the states comes close to a tacoma, nissan tried and failed, but they got close ford ranger is a fucking turd and the chevy and gmc thing is one of the worst trucks they ever made in the history of there company.

 

haha well he's not a d bag, i've known him for about 10 years now, that's alot longer than you have, i think it's hilarious how pissed off everyone on here got about the whole thing hahaha, you guys really showed your true colors on this one

edit, i like my tacoma but i'm not completly impressed with it, tailgates that bend when you sit on them, rear springs that cant handle more than 300lbs in the bed, front diff bearings that go bad like wheel bearings, and the list goes on, there are alot of things i like about it but you get the point

idk what truck you own but i have overloaded my truck a few times. my 5 lug 4cyl without problems. close to 900 lbs and you have a v6. idk what payload you're reading..

 

I just dont really get why that statement was posted? I didnt take that personally like some might because i like other trucks for their own reasons, but i fucking love my tacoma man. I wish i could have an F250 king ranch with a lot of goodies, but that doesnt mean i cant be talk up my tacoma because all it has done is be everything i could ever ask for. its mod friendly, gets solid gas mileage, idk about everyone else but i think its fucking comfortable to spend a whole day in so why am i not aloud to be biased towards it? haha its an awesome truck and does everything i ask of it
