A corvette is my realistic, achievable "dream car." Nice, I didn't know they had the same pricing issue in SoCal.

I see that police motorcycle, I assume are you a police officer? Our code word will be "LOL at TRD Pro markup" if you pull me over on the 15 or 78 for no front license plate mmmk? :spy:

99% of the time it is imperative to lock down a price I agree, but if you're buying one of these trucks right now, you're going to pay MSRP. That's just what the market is. For me I don't mind paying MSRP because I knew I had that college grad discount in my back pocket. I guess its possible to negotiate a lower price for a Pro, but I haven't seen/heard of it happening yet.

Bottom line is I'm happier than a pig in shit just driving one around. The suspension is a very nice upgrade from the OR and Sport.

Wait, you paid that market adjustment?

If you knew people were paying no less than MSRP, did you really have no idea that a dealership would charge more than MSRP for a PRO? You could have tried to negotiate to pay MSRP instead of 3500 over

I wouldn't pay markup. I think it's comical that people would pay it. But as long as someone wants it bad enough dealers will continue to do it.

Look for another dealer. I know a few here in CA that don't charge mark ups. Not sure where you are.
If you're interested shoot me a pm.

Oh hell no. I payed the MSRP ($42,950 College grad discount incl.) plus a couple silly options (mud flaps, air filter, and d-rings) installed from the factory that they wouldn't remove and credit me for. But honestly I kinda wanted the over priced air filter and d-rings so i rolled over and signed away my first born.

Has anyone got a Pro for less than MSRP? If so I'd be mighty impressed. Not to say that its impossible, just doesn't sound like anyone has had that good fortune yet.

    Cheers

Local dealer has a Cement pro listed on their website. Think I'll swing by there tomorrow just for giggles since I'll be over that way. We'll see if they've been smoking anything.

You don't have to defend yourself bud, some just can't afford the extra cost and even if they modded the TRD OR to the specs of your TRD PRO, I'm no genius but I'm sure it would be up there.

I here you on the age thing as well, I'm contemplating on trading my 2016 Tacoma in on a 2017 Cement Tundra TRD PRO, why, "BECAUSE I FUCKING CAN" and also I don't have to spend a $1000's to mod it out!

I got mine at MSRP from my local dealer, they have a no market adjustment policy.Put a $500 deposit down 3 months ago and took delivery last week.Coming from the 6.2L Ford Raptor,I can tell you this is a great truck.Rides better than the raptor and build quality is superior!

Thanks folks for your candid replies.
I ended up saying thanks but no thanks. I didn't want to feed their greed. They found another guy and charged him $5k over sticker. There was a time this particular dealership wasn't known for doing this. Which is why I had purchased 5 other toyota products from them in the past. Local competition combined with no longer being the leading seller has probably made them this way. Either way, I am over it. I will get the TRDOR - and a tube of cream since I (was) so butt hurt. haha.

So now begins my search for QuickSand TRDOR 4x4 with the JBL premium pkg in the SoCal area. Local area dealers are still charging sticker price. No discounts available on the one I want. (insert cry baby face here).

    Thanks again

I got mine for $42,760 + 940.00(handling) but then the wife wanted the little step, I wanted the bed extender, & the predator bars...& then I just said to hell with it and started adding all kinds of stuff and drove off at a smidge over 45K... And give zero fucks....if I hear "man that's a nice truck!" one more time, I'm probably going to throw up, just kidding, but seriously

I'll order one for anyone and sell it at MSRP. I can't guarantee it gets here in a timely manner, but I sell a ton of cars and they let me do what I want. If you're coming from far away I could probably even discount it a little. We definitely won't be adding any market adjustment or unwanted adds if it's an ordered unit.
