To be clear, the comment wasn't directly made at you;) We've all made bad judgement calls at one time or another. What matters in this particular situation is that nobody was injured and you learned a good lesson.
However, you don't need to be that drastic, alcohol has its benefits when consumed at the proper time and place:) Just be smart about it in the future.

For DUI the cop is not required by law to read you your Miranda rights.

I had 2 DUI's first one in new years 2003 the second July 2009 not fun man im done with dui's so stupid in my part, the first dui is a like a slap in the rist i went to classes for like 3 months and paid the court 1200 or so, But the second is the worse you have to go to classes for a year and a half you go every week like me i go every thursday and i have to pay $30 bucks everytime i go to class, then i had to go 26 times to my AA MEETINGS im done with those, so thats 120 a month for classes then i have to pay court 100 bucks a month i have to pay $2700 now im down to $1500 so that there is $220 a month down the drain, and this thursday coming is my last class for the year, then after my year i have to go once a month for 6 months then im done with my classes no fun and like i said before stupid in my part ive learned big time, ive been throuhg alot i had to be in house arrest for 17 days had to wear a ankle bracelet didnt have a license for 1 year, now i have a restricted license that cost me $210 bucks i can only go to work and classes and go home thats it and i had to find a dirt cheap insurance, i had AAA i was paying 200 a month then when i got my second dui they told me i had to pay 500 a month cancelled that day no i pay 130 a month with this other insurance so luckily i save money there. I get my full license next year september. If you get 3 dui's then your fucked classes for 3 years no license for 3 years and jail time for at least 3 months and its consider as a felony if you get 3. A brieff history of my stupid ass with dui's . hope u youngsters read this and dont be dumb like i was.
