With the millions that Toyota probably spends on market research, they will go the way the dollar goes, probably not the way we want it to go.

IMHO, if you want to fear something, fear what's going to happen in 2017, when those new CAFE requirements go into effect. Any "gas-guzzling" vehicle is going to be as extinct as the carrier pigeon or the dodo bird, and most smaller trucks are likely to be only a shadow of their former selves. For sure it's going to get interesting.

FWIW, Honda has decided to cease production of the Ridgeline for TWO years after the 2014 model year, so no 2015 or 2016 Ridgeline. Supposedly we will see the next generation Ridgeline in the fall of 2016 as a 2017 model. Interesting timing by Honda....

I say the Tacoma is going to look like the outgoing Tundra. I don't think that is a bad thing.

I actually like the new 4-Runner. Looks sportier had a lot of room for the kids and maintains its ruggedness.

As we get older these trucks seem to get more luxurious. Seems Toyota research says most people stay on road so make the vehicles more road friendly.

I like the new 4runner, I bet a small lift and duratracs would make it look even better and go about anywhere. It still has a gas engine with no electric assist crap and a real frame.

Have you seen the new Pathfinder... Omg that thing sucks. It literally bypassed XUV and went straight to minivan.

Everything will have to be direct injection soon to stand a chance of passing emissions, I doubt toyota will put a snail shell on the taco exhaust manifold tho.

The new 4runner looks awesome. The fact that you said you would rather own a Ford makes me LOL and gives me the impression that you know nothing.

OZ-T you are all about this hybrid Tacoma!
Would people seriously buy it? I would if it could still off road and tow.

I love our 5th gen 4Runner! It even has a manual transfer case, wish my taco did. It just looks cooler than a button or knob.

You should research the KERS system it's really cool. Think Eco-boost but instead of turbos you have electric motors at each wheel with max torque at 0 rpm. The big question is the price, I don't want a $50k tacoma.

I dont see toyota going downhill, My wife just bought a 2013 venza. I love it !

So many nice features I wish my tacoma had, like on dash Mpg avg, instant mpg , leds under the mirror outside the car when you hit the unlock button , so many storage compartments , the list goes on and on .

Toyota has made awesome trucks since they started in the 80s I doubt they are going to fall on their face now and

I'm not sure what OP's going on about. The only real difference is the body style and some technology. It's still the most offroad-ready SUV on the market.

This reeks of some sort of "everything used to be better than it is now" garbage. TV, music, and now 4runners apparently used to be better in the 90s.
