Alright. 2006 DCLB. Here is my routine and issue. I start my truck, go in reverse, back out the driveway. No issues. Put it in drive and then right between shift (Auto trans) from 1st to 2nd, "whoosh/squeal." Come to the stop sign, take off and I don't hear the sound again until the truck sits for a couple hours and I leave for lunch or head home.

For the last 2 months I have done quite a few needed repairs to the truck.

    Timing cover leak. Repaired.

Gates pulleys to include tensioner pulley and new belt. Done.

Center support bearing done last month.

    Water pump. Replaced.

    Plugs replaced. Doesnt matter.

Today I replaced all of the U-joints on the driveshaft. Got rid of the nasty vibe I had at 3000ish RPM'S.

This whoosh/squeal sound existed prior to all of these repairs.

The truck drives and runs better than it did when I bought it used 6 years ago. No hard shifts (trans serviced a year ago/15k to go until next service) and oil changed ever 5000 miles.

What the hell am I missing guys?

I pretty much refuse to go to the stealership. The sound seems to come from up front but aside from the tensioner itself, alternator, power steering pump and crank pulley, everything has been serviced and replaced.

Anyone have a suggestion or experienced this? Thanks in advance.

Take note to what the rpm range is for your squeal. Then attempt to replicate that range with a helper. Have them rev, while you listen, or vice versa.

Thats a good call, but it doesnt squeal at idle with when I rev. At this point I'm just hoping its the center support bearing (again) and I just dont have it seated properly.

Put the rear axle on jack stands, chock both front wheels, put truck in drive, and listen.
