Every flag pole bed mount thread I've found typically ends in a DIY. I finally found a pre-made one so I thought I'd share the link.

Did you or anyone end up buying these? If so, how are they holding up?

I did buy this then before I got a chance to install it I bought a bak flip cover. The cover uses the bed rail system and now I can't use the pole mount. It is a stout product for sure though. It's just sitting in my garage. Never used. I need to sell it.

If you're willing to sell it cheaper than the retail price ($45 w/free shipping), I'll buy it from you.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
I would never trust the bed rails to hold a flag that size.

I wouldn't fly a 3x5 driving down the highway or anything. Just a 2x3 while cruising the OBX on vacation.

Meh. I've seen first hand guys flying 3X5's going down the highway (65mph+) using the rails.

If you are running traffic or escort speed a 3x5 is fine with a holder like this. I have done up to 65 for a freeway escort that wasn't planned above 55 but wouldn't recommend it. Losing a flag in traffic has all kinds of risks and can be really embarrassing (seen a few). You can make a support by putting a grounding clamp near the bottom of the flag and running a mounting strap or wire cable between that and the bed rail tie down forward at a 45 degree angle, it will support it at speed and help keep it from popping out if you hit a bump.

I like that mount. Wish it was available before I drilled up my bed.

Love it...though I would also have some reservations about either a big flag or highway speeds, relying on the bed rails alone.
