hahah. i changed out my chevy in-line fuel filter in the street. the leaked fuel dissolved the AC, and it got stuck in my hair!! i was effed! i had to spray my head with WD-40, rub it in..and luckily it came out. now i have no hair..but hopefully it is genetics, not my stupidity. solvents are our friends.

^ that's what I was thinking too, except I would have tried an upside can of that condensed-air key board spray or dry ice.

You can't force anyone to listen, you have provided what appears to be sound advice and that is all you can do.

Do you own the company or stock in it?!

Diesel and gasoline will soften your tires when you use it to clean tires/rubber. incidental contact is no problem.
Tar is what's left of crude oil when they boil off the more volitile gases ie. gasoline, kerosene, etc.

We deal with it like Ridgrunner said, use Deisel fuel, or burn it off........The latter is not a good option for it stuck on tires.

    Ok, so, update:

I went to discount tire because the guy said he could help me (if they couldnt, i would try the tarminator...). After 5 min he came inside and said "holy bleep" then said he never got one with that much. He picked out as much as he could, then had to use their largest weights to balance it and i had them swap it with the back wheel. Tomorrow we will see.

Call your state department of transportation, or the company that owned the parking lot and is reslonsible for its upkeep, and get a new tire. problem solved. Just had this happen to me, the shit made me think I had a flat.. over 50% of my tire covered in it.

    Hello
I worked for a asphalt company as a young man and when one of the company pickups had that problem they would remove tire and wheel and put in a wash tub and cover it with diesel fuel and let it soak the asphalt off. Diesel fuel works when sprayed onto paint to remove asphalt splashes. Hope it helps

Had same problem and solved it today.
Used heat gun (Master Appliance, 110 volts, 20 amps, 170° F) to melt the tar and easily raked it out of my tread with several dull screwdrivers.
Warning: Be careful. If a chunk of hot material gets on your bare skin, it will take skin with it when you flick it off. (Don't ask me how I know this.)

Most likely you picked up crack seal material, I know I worked in the pavement maintenance field for 30 years and when ever a vehicle picked up this material in its tires we always recommended the use of WD 40 to loosen and remove the crack seal from tires or paint. spray it on and let set till sticky and lots of elbow grease to remove with a putty knife it’s gonna be a mess and takes time but you should be able to remove most if not all with this method.
    Best of luck

I'm a paver. When I have to pick it off my boots i just wait for them to cool down and I pick it off with a flat blade screwdriver. I'm gonna have to go against everyone and say cool it down then go at it.
