from my experience, all these shit heads do is smash and grab. doesnt matter what kind of car/truck... doesnt matter about alarm, window tint, as long as they have a minute to smash out the window most peeps can yank out the stereo very quickly. (hence the damage to the inside)

garden ridge should have surveillance cameras (round rock store has them) but if not is there any buisnesses close that might have some, might be worth checking.

i wouldnt worry about getting hit again, just replace it with what you want.

I had something similar happen to my Jeep back in the day and my insurance company at the time was great to work with, they took care of everything. It was explained to me that they will cover anything that is essentially bolted to the vehicle.

Viper or Python paging car alarms are your friend!!
Sorry this happened to ya, I hate getting ripped off, so violated.

I also noticed, that you internal dash where your stereo mounts is plastic? In my 05 that is all steal, and put in safety screws so you are gonna need a freaking crow bar and blow torch to get mine out.

Hitch and wiring, aux back-up light, rear strobe lights, radio and underseat sub.
Totally sucks. Hope they get caught. I wont put a nav system in for that reason.
In the future, engrave identifying numbers on your equipment.
I use my phone for navigation, or an easily removable unit.

I know exactly how you feel. I just had a double din pioneer navigation unit along with a custom built sub box/armrest with an alpine type s sub and an alpine 500 watt mono block amp and it got stolen in front of olive garden while i was on a date. it was only 5 o clock too. you feel violated. i haven't put another system in my tacoma since then. it feels like such a hassle and i hate worrying. im still debating about putting another one in tho. i hate how the tacomas don't come with factory alarms. just a clicker.
