The procedure itself went great, I went in at 730 am. They say me down, hooked up the iv and bam I was out cold. It didnt get bad until about an hour after that.

Apparently they mis dosed the amount of medicine to give off my weight and height and needless to say I was without any pain meds in my system after the procedure. Now on that note I had four very deep impacted wisdom teeth, all which required cutting out chunks of my gums and one tooth required them to break part of my other tooth off to remove it.

So with two gaws forced into the small area between the two holes in my mouth, the pain got to the point where I was having severe chest pain along with the pain in my mouth. I typically very tolerant to pain, but this shit was so bad my legs were shaking and the whole nine yards.

The bleeding got so severe I couldnt swallow a pain pill for the next little bit, so I sat there in the office while they tried to figure out what to do. I have NEVER experienced pain that bad in my life. Ive had my thumb almost completely cut off, broken bones, thrashing my head into concrete after being thrown off a 4wheeler, none of the above came close to this.

So make a long story short, as hard as I tired to tolerate the pain until the medicine kicked in I started crying like a little bitch for like 2 or 3 minutes. haha But as of tonight Im feeling alot better. I can eat apple sauce and liquids until tommorow morning. Jesus I cannot wait to eat a burger again.

had all mine do at one time a few years back! They gave me cool drugs to kill the pain! The thing that sucks is cleaning out the hole for like a few weeks!

Don't smoke or drink alcohol. Dry sockets suck! Not as bad as what you were describing though.
I would have had them give me an injection. Docs and nurses can be dense or indifferent to a patient's pain. Hope all's well now!

Yeah its not near as bad today. My face is bruised and swollen, I wanted to go 4wheeling today but decided not too because I look so weird. haha

I slowly but surely at a biscuit from McDonalds this morning, took me like an hour. I gotta work tommorow from 5 to 12 at night, that should be interesting.

It was horrible for about 3 days for me, then it got better. All 4 of mine were impacted and had to be broken out. Terrible experience.

I just took a lot of tylenol for the next 3 days. (don't take ibuprofen since it causes blood to not clot.)

I got mine taken out when I was 19. It wasn't too bad for me. I drank smoothies and ate soup (oyster stew) for the first two days. Had mine taken out on a friday and I ate out at chilis on monday night. I actually didn't take the hydrocodon they perscribed me, it made me drowsy but I couldn't sleep. Kinda halfway between sleep and awake. I only took one pill. I just delt with the pain so I could sleep vs feeling crappy on the pills.

Thanks for the tip, they said only use Tylenol, so here I am. lol

I was going to let them come in but then the insurance wouldn't cover it. They only would cover impacted teeth, so I had the option of having them cut out or paying a crapton of money that I wouldn't have a year from now.

hope you get better man. My pain meds started wearing off on my way home. Damn it was bad. I think the best part was almost eating shit trying to walk from the wheel chair to the car. It is definitely worth it in the end. Plus eating pudding and ice cream for 3 days wasn't too bad either.

dude, your story is just like mine. Had all 4 of mine taken out at once and from the moment i came to i hurt so bad because lack of meds in my system. I couldnt eat normal food for so long and it sucked. I tired eating bread and it pulled the clots out of the holes and began to bleed like crazy. Glad your doing ok tho man.

Yeah Ive been hanging out of Tw all day and owning some noobs on Modern Warefare 2. lol

Its rough, but Im glad I got them out now instead of later when they hurt like crazy from pushing in my other teeth on top of a good chance of getting an infection. Everytime I spit blood comes out, so I dont know whats causing that.

Did you guys get completely knocked out when you had the procedure done or just a local anesthetic.

I got knocked out. The blood is just the fact that you will be bleeding for a few days. The taste I had in the mornings was absolutely horrible.
