so i got a 2017 tacoma access cab, but i got the cheapest one.

    1. i dont have a clicker to unlock doors. i have power locks. i didnt think it was going to be a problem until i noticed i dont have a keyhole on the passenger side. is it cheaper to install an aftermarket remote or can they program a keyfob?

    2. i dont have any back seats. can i rip one out of an older tacoma at the junkyard and install? is it really expensive to have seatbelts installed?

all in all i like this truck. transmission sucks but supposedly its "learning" i will wait and see. and mpg sucks balls. a huge dodge ram has better mpg.

any tips on making it look cool or go faster are welcome.

    pardon my grammar.

Welcome to the forum. Do you have a need for the back jump seats? If so, there are some guys here who have removed them and may be listing them in the classified section. As far as the tranny goes, some really hate it and some don't mind (usually after driving it for awhile), and some have purchased the OV Tune which makes the truck behave like it should have from the factory (that will cost you $700). Enjoy!

    Hmm,

You may have asked more questions when you spoke with the dealer or rep selling the truck.

    (1) If your Tacoma didn't come with keyless entry you have to add an aftermarket system.
No plug and play options exist from Toyota.

    (2) Those back seats and seat belts were about a 1400 dollar credit when removed. Your going to be hard pressed to find them complete, possibly you could piece together what you need but remember they also removed your rear side curtain airbags.

Wait, so if you get the cheap trim that means you lose features of the more expensive trim levels...you don't say?

I believe you can add cruise control and intermittent wipers. Use the search function to find the related threads. If you look in the "3rd Gen Marketplace" forum, there is someone selling necessary parts.

How do such things get to removed if they were never put in?

Gonna cost a grip to put in a seat.

Fobs are cheap if your truck isn't actually devoid of that feature altogether.

Check eBay, or worst case, dealership will prick ya and stick ya for one, but it'll be programmed and ready to roll.

To add more seats simply put lawn chairs in the bed. To increase your HP put a whistle in the tail pipe. Or....dont get the truck with nothing you want on it !

A few additions to make me feel cool.
Might be worth looking for a wrecked one in a salvage yard. You can scavenge that for the parts you are looking for. Make a list of the parts you want and shop the marketplace here, ebay and at scrap yards and they will pop up.

Not to be that guy... but I feel like the lack of back seats is a fairly visable "feature" that you should have noticed before signing paper work

Sorry bud, but ultimately, whether its because like many people its too expensive to afford or for any other unknown reason, you bought the wrong model.
