Next time someone says something about the tacoma, ask them "Are you talking shit about my truck?". most people dont reply back at all.

yesterday while approaching a stop sign a guy in a body lifted tundra on black rims pulls into my lane like he's playin chicken and just looks out his window and I think he was inferring "Nice tacoma" but i laid on the train horns cuz i was like wtf.. he went back into his lane... but seriously who does that.

a nice little thumbs up or nod would've granted the same satisfaction. idiots.

    Nice body lift.

Definitely a strange thing to compare it to. I've always thought the extra long LCA's looked a bit like arms. And I guess I could see the light bar looking like eyes. But still strange.

Or...he's got some sort of really built offroad vehicle at home in his garage and he's laughing at you

armor + dirt roads does not equal rock crawling

i'll let you know when i find the thread on some other board about some guy at the gas station who thinks his tacoma is a rock crawler

Could be. I make no bones about the fact that my rig is a "daily-driver that also goes on trails." It's not supposed to be a "hard-core but street-legal krawler." I'd never call it a "rock crawler" because I know the difference, but I'm not gonna quibble about the semantic distinction with someone unless they're really interested and we get into a long discussion.

Just remember, the tides of popular opinion can turn in an instant, in response to things like that sad monster-truck-runover of a woman outside a club last week. When the mobs with pitchforks form, we want as many folks as possible on our side remembering "the cool dude who talked to me about his truck" not "that *ss*ole with the lifted truck at the ATM"

If someone snidely asks me if I go off road worth my TRD OR Packaged Taco...I will say "not a chance" (and I wouldn't be lying either LOL) ....Nothing much for them to comment on after that. I may ask for directions to the nearest Mall if I 'm feeling really chipper.
Or I will say "Does it LOOK like I take it off road?" Either way I don;t think people should be insulted if someone asks. Just tell them the truth and move on with life.,

Know whatcha mean man. Just because mine looks like this most of the time:

Does mean it doesn't look like this enough of the time:

I just invite people to go wheeling when the shit talk starts.

x2. I don't think anyone is claiming superiority here. But when people say "I betcha baby it don't you?" because it looks brand-new inside between wheeling trips, I just give them the straight answer: No, I kick its ass. I just clean it afterward.

Yeah, that pic is a better perspective of the trail than the truck.

When you see it in person it's clearly not stock. But yeah -as I mentioned above, a "rock crawler" it isn't, and I'm just fine with that.

Here's my own most recent shot that shows the whole truck, taken right after I put on the bushwaker fender flares:

....I know EXACTLY what he says..."What up 'BRO' ".......I say just have some pics of your truck on two wheels as you're wheelin.
