Well That's not my problem what you know and what you don't know is it. We invented Dolby. We invented electronic fuel injection too. I find it interesting the same old D Jetronics I first saw in Volvo in 1968 122 Amazon, used later in Cadillac on the 8, 6, 4 engine, is still used today on Kawasaki motorcycles and still called D jet, in the vin number designation.

I just find it strange when things like that happen . Back in the 1990's I bought my wife a Ford Escort to buy time to work on rebuilding a Saab 900 , and the Escort came with 4 studded tires. I bought 4 summer tires on wheels, and when I took off the rear wheels I saw familiar looking brake drums. I thought brake drums on a small compact car at that time was antiquated . I sat down and looked over these familiar looking brake drums a little while. Then in the rust scale I read LUCAS, and it that me these were old new stock I had last seen on 1959 MGA... Well I just chalked that up to watching the grass grow..

The red one was at a time when I used foreign exotic woods, that I won't use anymore. That blade was 3/16ths thick, and I would call it a hunting knife.

The one 2nd for the right is a copy of a Green River knife I was lucky enough to trace around to get the pattern, and it has brass and white tail deer antler scales. I made it a gift to someone. Later it turned up on a trade blanket and I paid too much and bought it back. I own it now but it isn't for sale. I do these things when I feel like it. I build what I want and then decide if I will sell or trade it or not. I never did custom on order things as it doesn't work in my mind.

Same goes for Trade Silver a wearable money of the day. I have had requests to make these with modern pins to retain them as the type I make do a little damage to the cloth if you don't run a round pointed awl thru the cloth first and take care as the cloth is pulled over the tang. But I don't and I won't.

As close as I can come to that is Yasica in if I recall 4x4 format. Yer right it's buried somewhere. I have 2 35 mm Minolta's I haven't touched in years. If cat I don't take photos myself anymore unless my wife needs one of her, or I want one of her. She shoots it all for me. She has a Cannon Sx 750 pretty dated for a pocket rig and a Sony A-6000 .

The Sand Sr 5, 4x4, 6 banger with auto will be shot soon enough. It came last Friday and it's been busy with paper work and hasn't been registered in NH yet, but is registered out of Main from a dealer. It's cookie cutter, so I see no need for a rush..

If I do chances are good I will post pics. Winter cuts into forging time, as the shop hasn't got heat. other than a wood stove, and with no insulation the Peter Wright Anvil would be subject to harsh abuse hittin on it hard when it's that cold. Flint n Steel Strikers are probably going to be made first in a few lots. I have gone thru a lot of pot hooks as they get lost or are given away often. This lends to learning old skill sets that got rusty though. Then there are many other projects, that I just have to get done, a list and boring . The file for forge photos is elsewhere. I will find them shortly, but around here I am calling it a day. 1st forged striker.jpg 1st sticker works.jpg

The bad part is I shot slides, and can't find a cheap way to convert them to digital format. I still have several lenses and the 2 bodies. last I knew the light meters were still working. They are in a US Army ammo can, sealed tight and in the dark. I have no idea why I even keep them .

Also shutting down. I tinkered a bit a forge once, used to walk the tracks of the coal carts and collect scraps of the coal to use as the heat source and rail road spikes as my projects

No chance they will be lost. I have some shots of things I can't even explain . I would like to make them as public as I can on line in case someone knows better than I do. One is a ice block igloo at Thunderstorm Junction a location on the Northern Presidential Range between Mts Adams and Madison. What makes it interesting to me is I was at that spot the day before in bright blue cloudless sky working for the RMC Huts club sister to the AMC . Nothing unusual was there in late afternoon 3ish pm getting on to twilight.

The next morning I got a call from Pinkham Notch on the RMC radio, requesting a search for lost Hikers at the Madison Hut Mad Hut for short. I was cautioned as to the weather which was white out and extremely cold. I could tell you, but you would call me a liar. It happened there was a guest at Grayknob who wanted to come along, and so he did. In white out I physically crashed into this igloo before noon. We went inside and had snacks to help stay warm, and left, and returned to stay in it again.

There was room for 10 men maybe more. There were carved inscriptions I didn't understand, and still no one else was around. Seems to me a lot of work in expert fashion went into this for no one else to be around. I don't know, but I have the slides.

He's obviously NOT "Early Man". Early Man didn't have technology, let alone understand how to use it, nor have any understanding or mastery over the American English language.
