You have every right to be furious! If your lady or anyone else can’t respect your truck, then it would be the last time they would ever drive it.

If you wreck the truck and lie about it, your in trouble dude, if she wrecks the truck and lies about it, your still in trouble for asking, lol.

If she sees this thread, you’ll be in trouble again....

My girl can drive my Vette or my 4Runner. She isn’t driving my truck.

Life goes a little smoother when you accept that we’re all driving around practical mid sized trucks to be used, abused, and loved as trucks and not pampered top dollar low production number classic cars. You got the first blemishes out of the way, now you can enjoy it for what it is.

About a month or so after I got my truck (brand new) I was at Home Depot and a runaway metal cart rolled into the passenger side door. Left a nice ding and bright orange paint. Lucky for me, the guy who was unloading said cart stuck around and gave me his info and promptly paid for the repair (shoulda bought a lottery ticket that day!). I had a guy come to my house and do a paintless dent repair. Turned out great and wasn't too expensive. Might be worth looking into if your door is still dinged.

Rear bumper was hit the second day I had my truck. I had just parked and was in the truck when it happened. The guy tried to take off. I wasn't angry until he tried to leave...

Yes! The McRib is back (for a limited time). It's delicious, but messy. Definitely not for eating in the truck.

The first 20 seconds of me owning my truck, I drove it into a chain link fence at the dealership lol. Joked with the salesman on the final test drive that I guess I have to buy it now. No damage.

Fast forward a year and I hit my garage door. Got a few inches of white on my passenger side rock slider, didn't touch the truck. Least it matches the scrape on my driver's side slider (from a tree on a trail).

I feel your pain man. I had a 2016 that within 3 months of owning I crunched the rear of the cab in a parking garage. Looks like many of us have been there lol.

I feel for you. Bought my now old 2010 on Dec 30, 2009. On Jan 8, 2010 a RAV4 backed into the left rear panel and bumper. It was smashed bad. I still had the temporary license tag. Year's later it's been in 2 other accidents (other driver's fault). They should have totaled it on the first one due to finding the rear end was bent after the the body repair. The second was a 16 girl with a license that the ink was still wet who just punched the gas at a stop light. All things are fixed. It still looks very good. Life goes on. I feel the pain but eventually you'll like the truck for the reliability and value.

This. Accidents happen. The second someone tries to flee, deny, or otherwise not be an adult about owning it they're a pile of shit.

This thread makes me glad I don’t have small kids in my life or a girl who drives my truck! 8 months in and so far I’m the only one who has driven my Taco. The girl I’m with isn’t into pick-up trucks and has never expressed an interest in driving my Taco, but then again I rarely drive her car either.

I wonder if somewhere there is a thread on some site women frequent complaining about their men and how neurotic they are about their trucks LOL

My only real issue with my wife driving my truck is she never locks the doors. I'm admittedly a little more anal than most about that..but I also have an aftermarket stereo and leave my CDs in the truck.

Though she always messes up my stereo somehow, like changes the balance or something else and then it takes me a while to figure out what she did..of course asking her gets "I don't know why are you asking me?"...grrr
