    Well I guess different strokes?!;)

I personally love the look of a Tacoma with a lift done right! But I'd agree! I've seen some F'd up looking lifted Tacoma's.
Just depends if it is done right.:D

no hes not,a lot of people do it wrong...lame.. 6 inch lift, 20" wheels with low pro square edge tires.. spaced out past the fenders. No ... that should be a hang-able offense.

more than a couple inches looks childish and is indeed nothing but showy/gaudy.

I like the look of a done right taco...most of the builds here are done right.

:crapstorm: If you want tucked in tires get a Honda Insight, otherwise put your tires at least out to or a little ways past your stock fender flares but don't use wheel spacers, just get a wider rim. I really dislike how the stock tires and wheels are tucked inside the fender and flares. I see people say biggest wheel you should go with is 17 and even thats pushing it...cuz you want the extra side wall height for off roading right? Makes Perfect sense. I don't off road and I like the look of an aggressive sport truck with a mild lift and level sitting on 18's so thats what I'm gonna do....its my build for on road truck with off road capabilities should the need arise...and/or snow

How I feel is, they are our trucks, its our money, we build them to suit us and our likes.... lol I like it, I don't give a ..... if someone else doesn't. Just like driving a Prius, or an Echo...or a _______ whatever. They like it, I don't!

Your right...who would want your truck...:D Nobody would even steal for fear everyone would be stopping them and asking what'd it cost, what are all the mods on it and then comment what a bitchin truck you got and just how great looking it is. Dammm man I'd almost steal it just because of the way it looks.....I love it....."THIS IS ONE THAT WAS DONE RIGHT" (There's a few others on here too, but your truck reached out, grabbed me and slapped me----)

Tacoma's that are not lifted look like CRAP.

I love my truck, but damn, this pic makes me eagerly await the day it it will also be lifted.

White truck belongs to JasoTaco. Now all he needs are some larger tires ;)

    Yes it is.
Even the 4-6 inch lifts are too much (at least on 2nd gens). They hurt functionality, and are a good sign of small genitalia in males.

I apologize for ruffling any feathers. The great thing about having different opinions is that we have the option of doing whatever we want to our own trucks. Who knows, if my truck wasn't a commuter 1st and a camping/tow vehicle 2nd, I might put a nice mild lift on it.

I was just making the comment that I was surprised by how offput I was of this particular lifted Tacoma when I saw it in person. I had poor use of word choice in the first post.

eh... lift is lazy.. cut your fenders if you need bigger tires. cheaper anyway. better ride, cog and articulation than tall trucks. tires is what gives you clearance and capability. if your bumper drags, remove it. lifts are for cowbros. but im super drunk right now, maybe being too blunt.

I was getting gas myself yesterday and an X-runner pulled up next to me. Needless to say I WANT ONE!!! I love my lifted taco, but an X-runner in the garage next to it would be NICE!!!

Depends on what youre doing with your truck. I like the way a 2.5" - 3.0" lift(front) and a 1" lift(rear) looks along with 31"-33" tires.
