I Had To Show You, About Emu

I keep seeing the Old Man Emu and it brings back a memory. I was doing wildlife control and the county called me about an Emu running in and out of traffic. They tried to deal with it for 4-5 days before I got the call. I said no problem. Found the bird trotting down a dirt road, turned my truck into it and got it pinned up close to a fence, jumped out with a lariat and the bird jumped clear over my truck. I ran after it and that was not happening. 50+ years old then, smoking 2 packs of Marlboro's. Not!!! Called sheriff told them if they got a call about a shot in my area it was me. Here is the results.

 

Taste and looks like beef. Got zero meat off that big azz birds breast. No meat on them, just legs and thighs.
