Your mpg will be lower in cold weather without A/C compared to hot weather without A/C. That they are the same when you use A/C proves A/C is significantly lowering your mpg in hot weather.

So the first sentence that I underlined makes sense. The second sentence does not make sense to me.

If we keep AC, mph and everything else constant, and only having the temperature be the changing variable, then we should see relatively the same decreases in mpg's.

That being said. The way the second sentence does make sense to me is that if we say that:

if it is 30 degrees out and you have your AC on the lowest setting, and we compare that to having the AC on when its 110 out and you have it on a higher setting. Then i would justify seeing a bigger decrease in mpg's in warmer weather.

Thats just my 2 cents :notsure:
This is either for me making a stupid comment or for continuing a off topic conversation. Either way let me justify :D

    I'll use numbers instead.

In cold weather without A/C I get 26 mpg, in hot weather without A/C I get 30 mpg. That I get 26 mpg in hot weather running A/C proves A/C is lowering my mpg.

If you don't have A/C you will always (keeping driving equal) get better mpg in hot vs cold weather, never the same.

But I see where you misunderstood the second sentence, I never meant run A/C in the cold weather. "That they are the same when you run A/C in hot weather" would have been more clear.

LOL Funny responses. I don't run my AC often, so I kinda like being able to turn the knob all the way to turn it on instead of having to turn the knob and then push the button. You guys are a riot!
