I said that. I find the trigger nice. 5# pull, very consistant right out of the box.

    Bullshit.

My Glock 26 was my 5th handgun purchase, and I bought it because it felt good in my hand and was a subcompact model that still carried 10 rounds.

I considered the Ruger LC9 but didn't like the long, heavy, DA trigger pull.
Other subs were attractive because they were more slim, but all lacked the full 10rd capacity.
I already had an XD9 Service, so I wanted something that was NOT a Springfield... not so much that I wanted to buy a Glock.

Honestly, I've probably only put 50 rounds through my XD since buying the Glock.

It is, but as I mentioned, my one complaint is the feel.

I feel like I'm pulling the trigger on a plastic toy popgun.

It's consistent and not too heavy or long, but the break has a certain "mush" that I don't feel with my XD, 1911, 92FS, or Ruger.

Ya, I did the $0.25 trigger job and it smoothed out, but the overall feel didn't change.
It's still a very nice trigger, it just has a "cheap" feel to it. Hard to describe, but the break almost feels literally like a "break"... like I'm pulling on a piece of plastic toy or auto trim and it has the same feel right before the toy "breaks"

First few mags bugged the hell out of me and I tore it down as soon as I got home to verify that nothing was binding.
Next trip was the same, but I started getting used to it.
Did the trigger job, no change.

Been carrying a Glock 21 for about 10 years. It has always gone bang when I pulled the trigger. I also like S&W, Colt, Sig and some Walthers. Get a gun, go shoot. Have fun.

    To me :
    1911 > HK Usp C > Glock

never liked the glock, wanted a polymer frame pistol so I went out and got a used HK USPc SS for a killer deal. Didnt like that either. The 1911 just fits my hand like a glove ( not OJ's glove). Point and shoot. Make a gun shape with your hand and point at something... thats exactly how my 1911 aims. no need to have my wrist at some weird angle.

I take care of everything i own as should the rest... So the "still shoots great without cleaning" argument is invalid. I field strip all my firearms after a range session and thoroughly clean them.

this is my personal opinion. a few friends in LE swear by their glocks. to each their own. Their lives are on the line so they carry whats comfortable to them.

    back to bone stock.
first pistol i ever shot was a 1911. it was AWESOME. i was an idiot and shot a porcupine. but that is another story for another time. the handgun is fantastic.

i also clean my guns after every use. (i know it will NEVER happen..but) i have a glock in my pile of firearms. i shoot it very well. i like it..love it? prob not. but i got it for the worst of days. when there are not gunsmiths, no tools..no more gun cleaning kits..hell on earth..Armageddon stuff..and i am shooting whatever .45 ammo i can find. i know this is dramatic, and very unneccesary..but you never know. it is my bug-out gun. plain and simple.

in reality, the meteor will probably land on me and my glock.

meh to each his own, i've got a 1911 and because 99% of my handgun shooting is behind a glock pistol my muscle memory is the same as what you're talking about with your 1911, put any glock in my hand and the sights line up right out of the holster

It's funny and makes no sense, but I'm the same way with my XD or Glock... to a slightly lesser degree with the 1911 and not even close with the Ruger 357.

I don't know what it is, but both the Glock and 1911 grip angle feel quite natural.

Love mine for simplicity. As for the frame, had mine stipled and customized for more grip. You guys who love um, check out Glockworx.
