Thanks to all for the suggestions on how to get rid of the mice, but all I've been doing for the past 2 weeks is trolling the internet on how to fix my mice problem. I think I've heard them all at this point!

I've checked as many "easy to get to" areas in the truck, no sign of mice at all. All wire harnesses are intact (that I can see). Only that nest in the cabin filter area from the original post. Have snap traps and humane traps, no hits yet. Maybe they all moved out!

You can skip leaving the lights on. Mice do not care about lights if there is nothing moving in the area. I was working in the workshop in my shed last week at night with the place lit up like it was mid day and not a cloud in the sky. Heard a noise and there was a mouse 5 feet away exploring across a spare desk filled with miscellaneous crap. Unfortunately for the mouse I happened to have a box cutter in my hand and my quick reaction was like Uma Thurman in Kill Bill. I felt guilty for a moment as I tossed the carcass outside in the bushes. I have recovered from my feelings of guilt now.

Same here, i've had the lights on it the garage here and have seen mice running across the floor and bench's. They even made a home in the lower drawer of my large upright tool box. I've trapped over a hundred mice this year so far...the fox's and crows love them.

I am trying to understand help me out?:) How do the Mice/Rats get to the crawl opening. It looks to me like there is no way they can get through the black trim cover that runs along under the windshield that covers the crawl.

I opened my garage door once and was in there like 5 min.
I look around and saw a gray squirrel flopping around on the floor. Basted wanted some peanut butter and got conked on the head with a trap arm. So before he could get his senses I took care of the issue permanently...

This story would become legend if you cooked and ate the squirrel.

I was working on a motor. Didn't have time to break out a squirrel recipe to try..

They get in between the fender and cowl. Not very big area but they can get in places you can't imagine. The tighter the better they like it....

I’ve used those in the past, but as a member (can’t remember his name) had a good point...it could go off and die in your truck...

There’s more to than you would think. Having been a former Toyota mechanic the harness are no fun.

You put them outside the truck. The mice take the bait out back to their nest and kill all the other mice. They work well.

My neighbor use to use that decon crap. Wasn't long before the mice crawl somewhere you can't get at them...they will decay and stink up the entire area.
