Anyone have any ideas or experience, removing, altering or replacing the console in a 2006 taco double cab?

I think it's too high and, frankly, I wish it wasn't there. I'd at least like to lower it by cutting it down but, I thought maybe someone had a better idea.

    Thanks, Rick

Welcome to the site! It comes out easy enough. Just not sure what you'd like in its place and how much you're willing to spend on the replacement. Anything's possible with enough money once you find a fabricator. ;)

To make it look good would be the hard part. I don't think that I would venture the route of modding it myself unless it really irritated me.

You don't need to remove the console for that.

    Wait...what?

The challenge is the Tacoma. Console + manual + racing buckets + harnesses.
